Primary Function of Role:
This position will support all operating areas for SERVICE ELECTRIC Company. The ideal candidate will instruct and develop specified craft and technical curriculum. This position will support the education of the curriculum being instructed and provide immediate on-site SME support with feedback to the crews. It will also allow SERVICE ELECTRIC Company to identify deficiencies in knowledge and tooling. This position will support regional onboarding while having the knowledge and desire to teach the following topics to field employees, support, and management: Equipotential Bonding & Grounding, Insulate and Isolate, CCO Crane Certification, Rigging (Overhead and Line), OSHA 10 & 20, Helicopter, Confined space, CPR First Aid Training, as well as others.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5 Years of Field Experience in the Electric Utility Industry
- Strong Desire to be part of a High Performing Team
- Ability to Present in Front of Both Large and Small Groups
- Strong Verbal & Written Communication skills
- Ability to Work Independently
- Ability to Change and be Flexible to Meet Internal Customer Demands
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Both Distribution & Transmission
- Journeyman Lineman Level or Above
- 3 years of Experience as a Utility Trainer or Safety Professional
- Field Management Level Experience
- Experience and/or Certification in All or Several of the Listed Training Topics
- Formal Training as a Professional Trainer (CIT) Certified Instructional Trainer
