James “Jimmy” Bowen, Jr., PMP, has been with SERVICE ELECTRIC Company (“SEC”) since 2012, and was part of the elite group who spearheaded SEC’s entrance into the Florida market. Jimmy got his start in the industry in 1998 with Dillard Smith Construction Company project management department estimating projects, managing subcontractors and the daily activities of crews as well as producing billings for large transmission and distribution projects.. In 2005, Jimmy went to The L.E. Myers Co. as Florida Operations Manager estimating projects and managing high profile transmission projects. Jimmy started off with 4 crews and built the Florida region up to 12 crews. Jimmy also successfully coordinated emergency restoration responses for large utilities in the aftermath of storm damage.

Jimmy has extensive operations and management experience in the electrical construction industry; his vast experience includes estimating, project management, logistical coordination and overall operations. He reports directly to Senior Vice President, Jim Bowen, and keeps him advised regarding events occurring in the field. All of the Florida region’s superintendents, project management team, logistics and safety departments report to Jimmy.
